I can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen and heard those words from friends, relatives and fellow business owners over the years. “I’ve been hacked” is a phrase that gives us pause and worry.
In my years of owning a computer & network services business, I met many people; very innocent and well-meaning people who lost more than some faith in humanity, but lost significant amounts of cash and in many cases even their identity.
In all those years one thing has always stood out about those situations. The victim’s knowledge about malicious acts was limited or non-existent.
What am I doing about it?
I’m taking my 25+ years of knowledge in security, computer usage and how the internet works, and creating a channel where you can get easy-to-understand tips and expand your knowledge to reduce the chances you’ll say “I’ve been hacked!”
You’ll be able to find informational blog posts and videos which explain threats and prevention. I’ll also be sharing these across many popular platforms like Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, Twitch and many others.
This information will be shared free-of-charge! The threat landscape moves too fast and you’ll need to keep up with the latest. Many victims are some of the most financially vulnerable people out there, and I want this to be available to anyone.
Organizations will be able to work with me so I can provide seminars and classes for groups to learn about prevention and recovery from scams, fraud and theft.
How can YOU help?
Putting together all this information, the website and video production, and of course time all come at a cost and I’d love your help!
The content I create is designed with you in mind. If there’s something you’d like to know, please ask and I can answer or I can create some new blog posts and videos to help everyone learn more!
The places I host this information can actually reward me with subscriptions, so if you have a subscribe option, please take it!
Like and Share!
This is information that friends and loved ones can really benefit from. Please share it with them so they can be safer and avoid some trouble!
I’m a volunteer who maintains many sites and accounts to help people stay secure, check out games, and use online resources. If you appreciate these efforts, you can buy me a coffee at KoFi or become a patron at: LiberaPay See below!
This effort is to help protect the most vulnerable out there among us, and to enlighten anyone concerned about security. Nobody wants to tell their friends and family that “I’ve been hacked”, but with a little knowledge, we can prevent it. Thank you for reading this and whatever you can do to help spread the word!
