I can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen and heard those words from friends, relatives and fellow business owners over the years. “I’ve been hacked” is a phrase that gives us pause and worry.
In my years of owning a computer & network services business, I met many people; very innocent and well-meaning people who lost more than some faith in humanity, but lost significant amounts of cash and in many cases even their identity.
In all those years one thing has always stood out about those situations. The victim’s knowledge about malicious acts was limited or non-existent.
What am I doing about it?
I’m taking my 25+ years of knowledge in security, computer usage and how the internet works, and creating a channel where you can get easy-to-understand tips and expand your knowledge to reduce the chances you’ll say “I’ve been hacked!”
You’ll be able to find informational blog posts and videos which explain threats and prevention. I’ll also be sharing these across many popular platforms like Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, Twitch and many others.
This information will be shared free-of-charge! The threat landscape moves too fast and you’ll need to keep up with the latest. Many victims are some of the most financially vulnerable people out there, and I want this to be available to anyone.
Organizations will be able to work with me so I can provide seminars and classes for groups to learn about prevention and recovery from scams, fraud and theft.
