Business Consulting

How does Business Consulting Help Me?

Let’s get right to the point. What are you going to get from my consulting with you on your business?

If there’s one thing that I’ve learned over the last 10+ years of business, is that knowing the right question to ask is far more valuable than just getting an answer.

I’m going to have a lot of questions for you, and at first, they’re going to be basic. Ones you’ve already asked yourself before. However, over time, we’re going to come up with some that are real head-scratchers. Those are the good ones.

I’m going to help you get your mind deep into your business and together we’re going to explore the strengths and opportunities it has. We’re going to ensure they’re oriented toward your business (and usually your personal) goals.

What does Wade do?

I analyze how your business works and propose strategies to make the company more efficient, usually by increasing income or cutting costs.

I am typically hired to find ways to improve an organization’s efficiency and increase profits. Business consultants collect and analyze data about how a company works and then recommend changes that will decrease costs or boost revenue. Consultants often present their suggestions as a written report and oral presentation, which can help companies implement their recommendations.

The first thing we do is that I sign an agreement to protect any information I learn about your business. The information I receive and the reports I provide to you are completely confidential and only for your eyes or anyone else you designate (such as a board or partner).

Then I will sit down with you, the business owner, and we will go over every aspect of your business. There are about 5-6 key areas we will look at, depending on the type of your business. This will involve looking at the books, your business plan, any documentation you have on job descriptions, processes, policies, and any other information that descries the business.

I may ask you if I can speak with key members of your team, or even some of your clients to learn more background.

After reviewing all this information, I will then develop a report that indicates what I learned, what I feel are the root cause of the issue(s), and an action plan to address it. In this plan I’ll also include key areas that you should keep your eye on, to avoid problems in the future.

I don’t just leave you hanging there. I’ll also reach back out to check on progress. Frequently at first, but as you make progress, I’ll reach out less often. You can always connect with me for questions and concerns so long as we retain our business relationship.
